We started our puppy on homemade dog food.
She did great ! until she started eating the cat’s food !!
now she will not touch her veggie/chicken/rice stew..
she was originally on purina puppy chow.. she did okay with that..
she is now 9 months old.. 6 pounds cutie patootie !
btw.. if i don’t let her near the cat’s food.. eventually she eats her food.. just worried because sometimes that is not until hours later..

Purina isn’t a good dog food brand, so I would suggest you to choose from a list of good ones:
Blue Buffalo, EVO, Fromm, Canidae, Halo, Holistic Blend, Newman’s Own Organics, Wellness.
The low-quality brands have tons of gross stuff in it, like animal by-product (inedible parts of animals/ethanized animals are sometimes included), harmful preservatives, chemicals, corn (hard to digest and can cause allergies), soy (same thing as corn), or food coloring (can cause cancer later on). So, be sure to choose a good food.
If you are unsure as to whether the food you want to buy is good, look on dogfoodadvisor.com for a rating.
Also, Newman’s Own Organics has a lot of canned food that contains just a few ingredients, little preservatives, and all whole ingredients. Considering your dog tries to eat cat food, then maybe you should try giving her some canned dog food!
