You should of never gave him milk in the first place…
“Some adult dogs and cats do not have sufficient amounts of the enzyme lactase, which breaks down the lactose in milk. This can result in diarrhea. Lactose-free milk products are available for pets.”
like stated before he is spoiled and is training YOU. Give him his meal, then take it away within 15 mins if he didnt eat he didnt eat. Try again at his next meal time. He will figure out you mean bussiness and eat.
Dogs wont starve themselves.

Picky dog won’t eat anything!! 10 Points to best!!?
My new pup (5 months old) won’t eat anything! We have tried Iams Puppy, Iams Premium Pup, Wellness, and Paul Newman -wet food and dry! I have mixed the two…still no go. She hasn’t had any table scraps, or abnormal feeding times, which I understand could throw a dog‘s eating patterns off. Sometimes, I get really lucky when she eats 1/2 of her food. She never finishes on the days that she actually eats! I have done the hamburger and rice, even though I HATE giving her human food, which lacks vitamins for the dogs. She will eat that also sometimes. She drinks ‘ok.’ She is very active, healthy, and happy! Any suggestions on dog foods/brands I could try? Any would be awesome! 10 points to most suggestions/help!
Thank you so much!
PS- She is a ‘daisy dog‘ breed. The exact breeds mixed are not known, but rumored to be bichon, poodle, shitz tu.

Hello Ty.
I had exactly the same problem with my dog – no interest whatsoever in his food.
Then I found out about ingredients and changed from the brand I was feeding (same well known brand for both wet and dry) to a different style and brands for dry.
There is a lot of information on a website dog-food-aid.com and I now use BARF (can DIY or buy frozen – no preservatives or anything else added)) as the base food, together with some of the various dry food options the website mentions. You will find plenty of great brands so hunt no longer for the good ones as it’s all been done for you!.
There is a puppy food section and those foods will make sure she gets all of the essentials growing pups need.
Never had a problem with food since.
Hope this helps and good luck

My dog won’t eat anything, and im afraid he is getting really sick!?
My german shepherd is 12 and a half and for some reason starting like two days ago he will not eat anything. He wont eat any of his dog food. We thought maybe if we give him maybe some table food, like pizza, which is like his favorite food ever, but he wont eat that either. I am getting very desperate because he wont eat anything i put in front of him! I’ve tried almost anything i can think of to give him. In the past three days his food intake has consisted of 1 slice of bologna, a small peanut butter cookie, and 2 ounces of milk, and that was only after 10 min. of coaxing. and yesterday he spent all day throwing up and he didnt even eat any food! He drinks a lot of water though, but no food.
Now before you all start saying “take him to the vet!” I already did that and they were no help. They dont know why he’s not eating. They took X-rays and drew blood, but they said nothing is wrong with him.
Does anybody know what i should or can do, and why he is doing this?
he recently got back from the kennel because we went on vacation and had no other options for him, but he has dropped a significant amount of weight and is really skinny. He was always a thin dog, but now his rib cage is protruding a bit; the vet said that was a concern and i just dont know what to do with him

admin answers:
Sometimes anxiety or stress can cause a dog to lose his appetite.
In cases like this, I serve up boiled ground beef (so the fat is not given to the dog) and white rice (minute rice is fine). I’ve rescued a lot of dogs and when they first come home they tend to be stressed and dont eat, this always does the trick.
He also might have some sort of illness, so try to get him to a vet to check his stool for parasites.
