Your Questions About [get Your Dog To Eat]

Jenny asks…
Can feeding your dog gunpowder have a similar effect to steroids?
My mate told me yesterday that he gave his mates dog a tea spoon of gunpowder and he bulked up like he was injected with steroids, just wondering if any dog experts can verify this? Not interested in s.p.c.a supporters ranting off here I didn’t do anything wrong lol, just curious.

The only thing gun power is going to do to the dog is irritate the stomach lining, it has no effect as far as bulking up muscle. If anything, it will make the dog sick, and you’ll lose muscle mass.
Your mate is stupid, and more then likely, lying through is teeth.
I would rethink that friendship since it sound like he’s out to kill your dog.

Nancy asks…
Is feeding your dog used chewing tobacco bad for its health?
My friend is an avid tobacco chewer, and instead of throwing out his used chew, he feeds it to his dog. He says this saves him money, and the dog enjoys it, but I’m worried for the dog‘s health. Is this bad for the dog.

admin answers:
If this is for real, you need to tell this idiot that nicotine is toxic for dogs!
What’s this loser doing to save money? Feeding his dog tobacco instead of dog food? He needs to stop right now.

Mandy asks…
Do you feed your dog the lowest or highest recommended amount of daily food from the feeding guidelines?
Just curious.
When my dog was on a dry food only diet I fed her the highest recommended amount since she is very active. Now that she is on a wet and dry food diet there is really only one recommended amount of how much dry and wet food she should get daily so I just follow that.

admin answers:
One of my dogs gets the highest recommended ration since he’s very high energy and I have a hard time keeping weight on him. Fat melts off him like butter on a hot stove, I swear.
The other is a very low energy breed. He has his moments of activity but still spends alot of time sleeping. He gets less than the recommended daily ration since eating any more than that he tends to get diarrhea. At the ration he gets now his stomach is cast iron and he very rarely has any digestive issues. In the winter he gets slightly more since he’s more active, and spends more time outdoors and burns more calories.
