Your Questions About [get Your Dog To Eat]

Laura asks…
Mentally alert and physcially sound with the right diet to sustain long working hours?
Just curious but would be most appreciative if you are able to share your experience on practical diets.
Serious answers if you please.
Tried the following:
- Eight cups of strong Coffee or caffeine equivalent
- Eight cups of Water
- Five hours sleep daily except on Sundays
- Twelve hours sleep if work stretches over seventy two hours
- Vitamins: B 2 x 100mg; C 3 x 1000mg; Zinc 2 x 50mg
- Five small meals: fast food.
The mind gets to a stage that seems to slow down accompanying tasks that take forever, with the side effects of not being able to sleep soundly as soon as the task is completed.
Suffice it to say, working hours may not be renegotiated with higher management. One would be kidding to say that it is not a dog eat dog environment.
Any tips on physical fitness and mental alertness ?

I would class what you have tried so far as “quick fixes” which may work in the short term but are useless for long term. Look at the GI Diet by Rick Gallop. It is a clinically approved diet which was designed for pre-diabetics and diabetics but its great for everyone. It gives sustained energy throughout the day, its easy to follow and if you want to lose weight it really works. Its based on 3 meals and 3 snacks a day. I have heard people say that you cannot lose weight eating that much, but let me tell you,. Its entirely possible coz i have lost almost 80lbs in the last 6 months with it.
The science behind it is that its based on fibrous carbs which give slow energy release rather than a quick rush and then the resulting low, give it a go…combined with reasonable exercise it will work a treat;

Mary asks…
My dog is not acting like her normal self?
My dog is a westie and she is currently 7 years old, going to be 8 in december. She used to love sleeping and loved going outside in the sun and just lying down. You could tell when she was happy by her eyes and just how she walks around. This week, she has been very sad, and i could tell by the way she walks and her eyes and just how she never barks. before this week, she was a big barker. Everytime she tries to bark, it looks to me like she cant. She walks right now, very slow. She wont eat as much as she did last week and she wont growl or bite anyone that picks her up when she doesnt want to be picked up, she used to do that before. I miss the old her, i dont know whats wrong. Her eyes are sagged and she walks like something is wrong. i know her well enough to know there is something wrong. I really want to know whats wrong. I dont know if this helps, but it is summer, where i live. Maybe she has been out in the sun for too long but i dont know. I really dont want to spend a lot of money at the vet because i dont know if she is reallly sick or is just sad. i think it might have to do with fireworks and thunder because this week there were fireworks a few nights ago and thunder a few days ago. But we usually get those 2 things a lot, so i dought she would get sad over that. Your thoughts and opinions will be greatly appriciated.. Please share what you know about this situation, im a nervous reck.
I didnt mean sad, i meant not her usually self and probrally sick. She never reacts to fireworks and thunder as much as this

I would get the tyroid panel ran, not that expensive to test for or treat if there is an issue. Typically thyroid issues show up around 7 to 8 years old and the first signs of issues is a personality change and apparent “depression”. Other signs are heat seeking (too much sun bathing) and changes in coat quality (dull) or loss of hair.

Daniel asks…
Please share your experiences of prejudice and discrimination?
I am Chinese. I grew up in a white community, making any other race minorities. One of my experiences was when I was in kindergarten or first grade. I was sitting on a school bus when this boy who I never met started pulling my hair and choking me. I’m guessing he did that because I’m Chinese, because we never met or seen each other before. Another time is when I was taking a drink out of a water fountain and a white boy said, “Hurry up CHINESE GIRL.” He said CHINESE GIRL with an emphasis. My mother and I were driving when this white woman started screaming at us in the next lane and told us to, “GO BACK TO CHINA!” I guess we were too slow or something. Or maybe, she was too fast. Other times: I got phone calls such as, “I want eat dog.” This Halloween, some group of white boys came to my house. One white boy was saying, “Duck sauce!” and “Sweet and Sour Chicken!” in a mocking Chinese accent. I mean, we gave him CANDY!!!!!!! He should at least say thank you for the damn candy.
(Continued)
That white boy that came for Halloween said those things right in front of my innocent baby sisters. They’re half white and half Chinese. I know later on they’re going to have some issues with their identities, but do they have to be exposed to that right now?!
Can someone please help me? I don’t want to be prejudiced against white people, but my bitterness is growing and overpowering.
I’m Chinese. Does it mean that I’m putting down my own race by having Ching Chong as a screen name?

admin answers:
Ching Chong: I’m sorry this happened to your family. These individuals have the worst manners, but they do not represent all Americans. I understand your “bitterness”, but try not to hold it in because it’s not good for you. I know it’s hard, but those individuals are a product of their environment. Study hard in school, make good friends (who are completely opposite of those nasty people), join clubs/activities/sports, etc. Be a good role model for your little sisters. And, be strong so that you can help your mother. Wishing you the very best!
